Hmm… Casablanca, pretty much anything with John Wayne, Rio Grande and The Quiet Man are two of favorites.

On the more contemporary side, Tin Cup, The Legend of Bagger Vance, Hudson Hawk, Rudy and We Where Soldiers standout.

ATT, do you mean "Falling in Love" with Meryl Streep and Robert DeNiro? I LOVE that movie!

I love anything with Meryl, I think she is one of the great actresses of our time. My favorite films of hers are Silkwood and Out of Africa.

I love all the 80's films:
Can't buy me love
No Small Affair
Pretty in Pink
St. Elmo's Fire
Maid to Order
Geez, I could go on forever, but those really stick out in m mind.

As far as "classics," I love anything with Katherine Hepburn, Betty Davis or Lauren Bacall. I always thought Lauren was WAY hot back in the day!

But, my favorite movie of all time is (don't laugh!) Tootsie (with Dustin Hoffman). I have this film and I can watch it over and over again, and crack up each time. I remember when I was like 12 or 13, I saw it in the theaters at least 10 times (mainly because I had the hots for Jessica Lange).

My second favorite film is "Schindler's List." I just think this film is a masterpiece. It always moves me. It hits close to home, because I have relatives who were murdered during the Holocaust. Confused? Well, my great-great grandfather on my dad's side was a German Jew, blonde hair, blue eyes, beautiful man. He fled Germany during the Holocaust (but, the rest of his family were not so lucky). He came to Alabama, and had 6 children with a slave, my grandfather being one of them.

OMG! I LOVE the Scary Movie films, although the last one sucked, cause the Wayans bros. weren't involved. I have the biggest crush on Anna Faris. :) One of the funniest moments? The bats and massive "afro" coming from her underwear! WHOOSH!!! LOL!

But i LOVE the butler with the tiny hand in Scary Movie 2.

<Person hanging from ledge> "Ewww, i'm not touching that!"
<Butler> "It's my strong hand"

And yes Stacia, Anna Faris is hot.
But, damn! girl, who don't you have a crush on? Lol!

Have you seen "White Chicks" with the Wayans bros.? Hilarious!

I have the biggest crush on Anna Faris.

Stacia, you have seen Anna in May (2002), where she plays a pretty wild & realistic lesbian, right? A pretty good horror movie too, but rather intense & not for the casual Scream 1, 2, & 3 crowd.

I'll give her one thing, she's damn hot,yes.......but i've only seen her in roles that make her seem like the "dumb blonde"....Scary Movie 3,The Hot Chick. Haven't seen anything else she has been in. Any other good mivies she is in that anyone knows of? I haven't heard of May. Is it worth the price of buying?(not just for her btw,is it actually a good movie?)

Always a tough call, but my Top 10 would probably be:

Casablanca - The perfect movie.
Citizen Kane - A tour de force from a 25 year old Orson Welles.
2001 A Space Odyssey - Best Sci/Fi ever.
Gone With The Wind - Classical film making at its finest.
Dr Strangelove - Political satire at its finest.
The Maltese Falcon - Bogey, enough said.
All About Eve - Bette Davis, enough said.
From Here To Eterntiy - Deborah Kerr, enough said.
A Place In The Sun - "Tell mama" - best onscreen kiss ever.
The Searchers - Ultimate "Duke" Wayne / John Ford western.

There's plenty of contemporary movies that are classics, but if I was stranded on the proverbial island, I'd want these. :icon_yes:

Ray Charles
Aretha Franklin

Also has one of the BEST car chase scenes ever.

I grew up on musicals, so I'll list these...

Grease
Grease 2
The Wizard Of Oz
Xanadu (yes really!)
West Side Story (Natalie Wood! Gorgeous!!!)
One And Only Genuine Original Family Band (Leslie Ann Warren)
The Happiest Millionaire (Leslie Ann Warren - do we sense a theme?)
Cinderella (yes again with Leslie Ann Warren - she's still crazy hot!)
Marry Poppins
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Bedknobs And Broomsticks

and no, I do not like The Sound Of Music. It deserved every oscar it got and fine performances all around, but it's not one of my favourites.

Non musicals you ask?

The Godfather (James Cann!!! :icon_peac )
Anything to do with Montgomery Clift - I adored his movies!)
Feris Bueller's Day Off
Pretty In Pink
The Breakfast Club
(Well, the above 3 are classics now, aren't they?)
The Journey Of Natty Gann (Meredith Salenger - nuff said)
The Sea Prince And The Fire Child (It's a cartoon and I'm dying to get it on dvd. Can anyone help?? Or on video. Doesn't matter!)

Hero
Crouchin tiger, hidden dragon

These caught my attention, Mr. SunShine. :icon_pape

I strongly suggest you see "House Of Flying Daggers." Zhang Ziyi gives one of her best performances in this film.

The "Echo Game" is the best dance/martial arts scene I've ever seen. The rest of the film is spectacular as well. :icon_idea

There's only 3 Scary Movie films, Grant. :) I think the BEST part in the second one is when the guy with the little hand was showing the kids how he prepared the turkey. When he says, "I don't know what the hell that is, but I'll lick it anyway," and "you get into the little hiney-hiney ho," OMG...hilarious!

I didn't think White Chicks was all that funny.

Jonesy! Yes, I agree fully. I was completely captivated by her in HOFD. Also, by the film itself--breathtaking from the first frame to the last.

You know what? I think we have her name backwards...I actually think it's Ziyi Zhang--that's what I've been seeing lately. I don't know, though!

I'm a little ashamed to admit that I LOVE Lindsay Lohan LOL. I have both of these films as well. I LOVE Mean Girls! I ALWAYS crack up when Rachel McAdams finds out about the "health" candy bars, and she goes into a screaming rampage! That part always has me in hysterics, it never fails! LOL. Mean Girls is the Clueless of the new millenium.

So true. Every time I see it, I'm totally captivated. It's hypnotic. :icon_dizz

You should see "Hero" as well. It leans heavily on the "tragic opera" side of things, but it's amazing in its use of colors. And the battle/wire fu scenes are simply spectacular.

Candyman--to this day, I still can only watch it in the daytime
Final Destination (aweseome films)
The Exorcist
The Amityville Horror

ZZ is fairly small, but those gams are killer. :icon_drib

It's an erotic film noir sci/fi combo that features Zhang Ziyi. For all Z fans this is a must see movie.
