If this is music for Sandra, then i'd choose stuff she likes. If i remember Sandra's taste in music correctly, it would comprise of anything from Guns N' Roses, Sade, Metallica, and some house music.
But if i were to make my own list i'd go with..
Rockin’ out
Guns N' Roses - Any of their songs
Metallica - Wherever I May Roam
Bon Jovi - Bad Medicine
Alice Cooper - Poison (it's a great song, what can i say)
Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion
RATM - Killing In The Name (i gotta keep this)
Just chillin’
Red Hot Chilli Peppers - The Zephyr Song
Billy Joel - Uptown Girl
Dobie Gray - Drift Away
Gerry Raferty - Baker Street
Beach Boys - Kokomo
Romantic (and of course as corny as possible:icon_lol:)
Don't know that many romantic ones..
Van Halen - Why Can't This Be Love (not really romantic)
Queen - Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Stevie Wonder - I Just Called To Say I Love You
James Taylor - How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)
Anything by Tom Jones
Other...
The Stranglers - Golden Brown
Duran Duran - Girls On Film
Daft Punk - Robot Rock (don't know what category this falls into)
Poison - Every Rose Has It's Thorn (i sent this one to her and she seemed to like it)
The Knack - My Sharona
Adam And The Ants - Ant Music

Rammstein reminds of something.... I was on a tour of the westcoast a couple of years ago with a group of mostly Europeans. There were also some cute quiet german girls. Everybody got to play their music and when it was their turn they put on Rammstein. :icon_chai

Yes, it's a festival. I went there quite some time ago (10 years, already). Most notable preformances at the time were by RATM and the Prodigy. The festival has been around since woodstock but last few years it has been going downhill with visitornumbers down to 30,000.
We have others like lowlands, which also features dance-acts and is more varied. For bigger events you have to go to Belgium (Werchter) or to Germany (Rock am Ring). Bigger budget, so bigger bands.
I wonder, do you have big names on the line-up of these australian festivals? I mean, do they tour there, since it's kinda out of the way.

This is for sure my song to dedicate to Sandra... as almost you all know we the latinamericans have a tradition called "serenata" that is simple... you hire a band and you go to the house of the lady and in the middle of the night you start to sing to her window waiting to her to show up there. So I will like to picture that moment,,, me with an acoustic band aside singing the accoustic version of this song...
Guns N Roses
Rocket Queen
If I say I don't need anyone
I can say these things to you
'cause
I can turn on anyone
Just like I've turned on you
I've got a tongue like a razor
A sweet switchblade knife
And I can do you favors
But then you'll do whatever I like
Here I am
And you're a Rocket Queen
I might be a little young
But Honey I ain't naive
Here I am
And you're a Rocket Queen oh yeah
I might be too much
But honey you're a bit obscene
I've seen everything imaginable
Pass before these eyes
I've had everything that's tangible
Honey you'd be suprised
I'm a sexual innuendo
In this burned out paradise
If you turn me on to anything
You better turn me on tonight
Here I am
And you're a Rocket Queen
I might be a little young
But Honey I ain't naive
Here I am
And you're a Rocket Queen oh yeah
I might be too much
But honey you're a bit obscene
I see you standin'
Standin' on your own
It's such a lonely place for you
For you to be
If you need a shoulder
Or if you need a friend
I'll be here standing
Until the bitter end
No one needs the sorrow
No one needs the pain
I hate to see you
Walking out there
Out in the rain
So don't chastise me
Or think I, I mean you harm
Of those that take you
Leave you strung out
Much too far
Baby-yeah
Don't ever leave me
Say you'll always be there
All I ever wanted
Was for you
To know that I care

Dear Sandra,
this is my song to dedicate to you, a traditional and sweet ballad song for a special heart like yours;
NICKELBACK
FAR AWAY
This time, this place
Misused, mistakes
Too long, too late
Who was I to make you wait
Just one chance
Just one breath
Just in case there's just one left
'Cause you know,
you know, you know
That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I miss you
Been far away for far too long
I keep dreaming you'll be with me
and you'll never go
Stop breathing if
I don't see you anymore
On my knees, I'll ask
Last chance for one last dance
'Cause with you, I'd withstand
All of hell to hold your hand
I'd give it all
I'd give for us
Give anything but I won't give up
'Cause you know,
you know, you know
That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I miss you
Been far away for far too long
I keep dreaming you'll be with me
and you'll never go
Stop breathing if
I don't see you anymore
So far away
Been far away for far too long
So far away
Been far away for far too long
But you know, you know, you know
I wanted
I wanted you to stay
'Cause I needed
I need to hear you say
That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I forgive you
For being away for far too long
So keep breathing
'Cause I'm not leaving
Hold on to me and, never let me go

when it's cold and dark, and I'am afraid,
then I watch your picture, before it is too late,
then my heart while lighten , as it will be on fire.
Thinking of my princess with loving and desire.
You are always with me, and that is very fine
And that is why I call you
my sweetheart Sandra Shine
Your pictures and your movies
they always look okay
And when things has to happen, than let it be your way
We know it is a long way
And you will just do fine
I love you and I like you
my sweetheart Sandra Shine
And for Mr. Sunshine there is a message too
Keep on loving Sandra or she will hunt on you;)

Cool song Mr. SS, now all we need is some music! Anyway, nice lyrics though you're no Axl Rose...yet:icon_bigg
Speaking of Axl I've been listening to that demo-song someone posted a couple of days ago. Pretty good I tell ya. :icon_yes:
Not the biggest fan of GNR but this one did remind me of the old stuff like november rain and estranged, must be the Dizzy Reed-play...
BTW, here are the lyrics noted for you all:
Guns N' Roses - Catcher in the Rye
When all is said and done
We're not the only ones
Who look at life this way
That's what the old folk's say
But every time I see them
Makes me wish I had a gun
I thought that I was crazy,
Well, I guess I'd have more fun
Guess I'd have more fun
Ooh, the Catcher in the Rye again,
ooh ooh ooh, won't let ya get away from him,
It's just another day like today
You decide if I don't have to
Then they'll find
And I won't ask you
At anytime or long thereafter
If it's cold outside
Ive imagined
All Alone
Oh, oh.
Ooh, the Catcher in the Rye again,
ooh ooh ooh, won't let ya get away from him.
It's just another day like today.
When all is said and done
We're not the only ones
Who look at life this way
That's what the young folk's say
As if they'd ever change
That's not, who am I to say?
But every time I'd see them
Makes me wish I had a gun
If I thought that I was crazy
Well I guess I'd have more fun
It's what used to be's not there for me
And ought to find someone that belonged insane like I do
Not an ordinary day
Back in an ordinary way
All at once this song I heard
No longer would it play for anybody
Or anyone
That needed coming from somebody
Needed coming from someone who cared to be
Not like you, unlike me
In an ordinary way for me
Somebody set the wheels in motion
Hearts are memories
You weret the instrument
You were the one
How about it?
Took the body
Gave that boy a gun
Took our innocence
Beyond our stance
Some type of moment
There you got it
All alone in jail today

Well, you don't hear it so much on the radio anymore but it's still considered classic. November rain is always number 2 in the top 100 of all time (after Bohemian Rapsody).
Yep, it's old, 13 years since the last album. GNR these days is basicly just Axl and a bunch of new guys (but also Dizzy Reed on keyboards). Most old GNR-members including Slash are in a group called Velvet Revolver that is not so well-known, at least not in Europe.

Hello Everyone,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but all in all, I think that Sandra may like the song ;).
So anyway, I'm watching Pulp Fiction right now and there is a song playing. This is the scene where Uma Therman is about to O.D. on Heroin. What is the name of that song that she is dancing to when John Travolta is talking to himself in the bathroom? Much thanks.
