Personally? No. In fact, I really dislike it, always have. I think it's because it takes the girls' focus off of each other (even if it's just for a second). I kinda want to feel like they are totally into each other, and having them look into the camera just ruins that for me; I guess I don't want to be included? Yeah, I know I'm weird. I'll never forget the first time I saw a girl look into the camera in a porno...it made me uncomfy for whatever reason.

From my perspective as a photographer a photo shot is a seduction. My goal is to draw the person viewing my photographs in and make him or her part of the shoot. Personally, I want a model to make eye contact with me and my camera during the shoot... I think it helps build intimacy.
Where it gets tricky is in girl/girl shoots. Personally, I think the girls should be primarily focused on each other rather than me or the camera. That said I still like to see the models play to the camera a little. Nothing really overt, just subtle, playful glances that say “hey, would you like to join us?”.
The one thing I really hate is when in the middle of a scene a girl just starts making these uncomfortable sideways glances at the camera… It kills the mood and makes me think something’s wrong.

I personally loathe it when models look into the camera in g/g porn. It removes that 4th wall that should always be there if one is to suspend one's disbelief that the women are making love for themselves and not for the camera, an audience or for money. Otherwise, acknowledgment of the camera is just a great big knowing wink to the boys out there that it's all for them, that this is just a job, a day at the office, and in no way are they really emotionally connected to their on-screen partners. It greatly disturbs the intimacy of a scene. It can also remind one of cheap amateur & gonzo, where the male director somehow HAS to participate, has to direct & manipulate the situation & the models.
The only time I find it acceptable is when the women are filming each other in POV (Point-Of-View) shots (e.g. Viv's Dream Team, Amateur Plug-ins, etc.). At least the illusion that it's just the two of them can be sustained.

Yeah, shooting stills : YES, but for video, well, its cool when she's stripping or masturbating in front of my cam, but not if there's something voyeuristic going on. Ya-know-what-i'm-sayn'.
