As Stacia and I have both asked you for some Hungarian phrases I thought I would set up a new thread for the purpose! I think we will start with some simple ones:
1) Hi, my name is...
2) Where do you live?
3) How old are you?
4) Are you bisexual?
5) Do you have a boyfriend or a girlfriend?
Lots of Love

Oh! and a special wish.
Sandra can you please be so kind to translate that song for me?
It's the lyrics of one of my song I wrote this autumn.
It does not have to rhime in translation (if it would that would be perfect *g*)
I just want to know what it might look like in hunarian (sadly you will not read it for us :-(
So if you have some time: please try some lines ok? Thanx Lady
"Autumn Leaf:
An autumn leaf is dancing through the air
I saw it falling from it’s grace
It’s colours changed within the year
But time has come to leave- it’s place
Swinging slowly down to earth
Carried away by the wind and
Pulled down by gravity it is
On it’s first and last- journey
Elegant and light it’s dancing an old dance
Like fairies of the woods
What has it seen throughout the year?
Oh I really love to know-all about.
Seasons come and go but you stayed always there
I told you all my private thoughts
I knew you’ll keep them save for me
In the branches of the tree-for infinity
I’ve been often here to find peace by your side
To recreate myself
Beneath the shadow of this tree
I felt so save and free-eternally"

Tényleg édesség, milyen van-e a Magyarom? Megtanulok de mindig fél a kérdezek lenni az úrnőm amikor jelentettem mondani neked van egy gyönyörű mosolyod. :)

Nah, "bimbo" is for a girl who is...shall we say..."easy." :) As far as "cow" goes, we would just call her a cow (especially if we didn't like her). But, I don't think that's very nice. You know, I don't really know if I've ever called someone a cow.

Thanks crab for the linksThe translation software helps but its accuracy varies widely. Translations can be anywhere from 60-100 percent accurate depending on the complexity of what's being translating. It'll usually translate simple phrases like Hogy vagy? (How are you?) or Jó reggelt édesség. (Good morning Sweetie.) 100 reliably but longer sentences often require manual editing.
I’m slowly learning Hungarian but it’s an incredibly complex language and I’ll doubt I’ll ever master it.

Hello Everybody,
In the post #11 in this thread there is a misspelling as the correct way of saying anal sex in Hungarian is popsi szex. But the ones who could read it might have figured it out by now..
Hi FragEat,
Thanks for the correction.
It is very nice of you caring about the English spoken members not to learn the bad word.
What would happen if they got into a situation and they screamed a bad word to their Hungarian partner who would put their dick in a wrong place :D

Kathy Moore over on Viv's forum taught me "popsi" a few months ago, after I told her that you taught us "punci" over here. Bless that girl. Popsi & punci... never in the history of the human language has there been two cuter sounding words that conjure up even cuter images in the mind. Thank you, ladies, for teaching us the language of Hungary. Now if I ever visit Budapest on holiday, I won't feel like such a stranger in a strange land, though I must pay attention in class here more because I'll only be able to get by so long on "popsi" & "punci" before the Hungarian people think I'm an inarticulate ass-obsessed, pussy-fixated perv-freak & have me extradited, or worse. But, damn, I just can't stop staring at the instructor & concentrate on my lessons! She's got such a beautiful smile, and damn nice gams.
Love your new avatar, Sandra. It's a different, playful look for you.

Um, I can't think of anything right now that I want translated but I'll keep this offer of a one-on-one private lesson in mind when I want to impress the budapest babes online with my growing hungarian vocabulary. I'll be real romantic. Or maybe I'll ask Kathy Moore to help me translate something so I can impress you. :icon_bigg

Very cute. :) After reading this observation of yours, I actually considered the possibility of naming a puppy we're planning on getting soon "Punci" or "Popsi" but decided against it, just in case we got a hungarian-speaking neighbor or two living in our apartment complex. It just won't do if they hear me hollering, "Come, Punci! COME, PUNCI!" while out walking the dog. :icon_conf

Ok, I tell you a funny story...
Once I told one of my friend that my dogs name is Baileys.
She turned white and asked me " Are you crazy? Arent you ashamed when calling her from the street? " I said why, that is a normal and cute name I think.
She now turned red and asked " Do you think a name like Penis is cute? "
I was laughing so hard that I couldnt even tell her she must have misheard the name I said before :D
Then we bought were laughing for months after mentioning this chat :)

Umm, Hungarian is VERY though I know. The same words have very different meanings and you can only figure out what it exactly means if you read the whole sentence.
So the correct form is:
Elmulasztottam Sandra tanitasait :)

Hi crab.....
Thank you for replying. :)
OK....I misunderstood what you meant.
I kind of had it reversed...in an odd way.
You weren't so sure about the english words that you were trying to tanslate into hungarian.
I thought that you understood the english but weren't so sure about the
hungarian.
...and I thought that since you were hungarian...that the hungarian
part would be the easy part for you.
It's kind of all the same thing...just in a little different way.
I hope that you can understand what I am trying to say...I know that
it's a little confusing and awkward.
So you are straight out of Hungary.
...that's good to know.
I have a number of close family members through marriage that come directly from Hungary.
BTW...your english is whole lot better than my horrendous hungarian.
I like to listen to people speaking in hungarian...it's such an interesting
language to hear out loud from native speakers.

Funny.
I don't mind hearing guys speaking in hungarian...the language
really does interest me.
...but I really like to see and listen to the ladies speaking
in hungarian.
I could watch and listen to someone like Sandra Shine speak
in hungarian for hours and hours..and I wouldn't have much of
a clue concerning what they were actually talking about..and I
really wouldn't care all that much. ;)
...I mean I would care..if the words being spoken had meaning
and purpose......but I could listen to Sandra Shine reading the phone
book out loud and I'd be sitting there with a big grin on my face.
I really like it when Sandra speaks in a cutesy voice...or in an
angry/annoyed voice.
....and of course Sandra's just normal and regular voice will do
just fine as well. I like the sound of Sandra's voice...it is very much
like sweet music to my ears. :hearts:

Hello,
I was wondering if someone could help me. I've been studying Hungarian which has proven to be slightly difficult because I'm teaching myself with books and stuff and I don't know any native speakers. When I try to watch videos where people are speaking in Hungarian I get confused because everyone pronounces words differently.
For example I'm having trouble pronouncing the letter gy. Sometimes when I hear it the g is stressed more, then sometimes the y is stressed more and it sounds almost like i with no hint of the g sound at all. Once I heard Sandra say Hogy Vagy but to me it sounded like Hoy Vay. I'm just so confused if anyone could offer me any info on the proper way to pronounce that I would be very happy. Or does it not even matter can I say it either way?
Oh also how do you say I love you in Hungarian?
-Thanks!

First of all let me say congrats om even trying ti stufy Hungarian :)
Its surely one of the toughest language..
Ok let me try "gy" is our special combination of letter.
I would say its just like "g" but instead of creating with the root of your tounge try doing the same thing with the the outet part of the middle of your tounge...
I dunno if that makes sense at all..
Or even better try to search for a dictionary that pronunciate the words lets see if they explain it better :)
Good luck !!! clap_smile:kiss::yippee::icon_hug:
