At the moment I'm listening to The Brian Setzer Orchestra - The House Is Rockin'... Bruce Hornsby's Mandolin Rain is up next followed by Jimmy Buffet, B.B. King, John Lee Hooker, Gloria Estefan, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Gretchen Wilson and Toby Keith. After that I'll probably throw on some Miles Davis or Pete Fountain.

Now I'm listening a hungarian underground drum and bass track,
Xenophobe of NTX - Reménytelenül.

It has a dark atmosphere. The vocal is a Attila Jozsef poem presented by Zoltan Latinovics.

you can dl this track from http://forum.drumandbass.hu/viewforum.php?f=3

My brother is the jazz person in our family, and he's played on stage with James Morrison a few times. He comes to my old high school each year and does a concert with his band, the school senior stage band, and an ex-student who sings with him named Emma Pask.

Chris Botti
Michael Buble
James Blunt
Michelle Branch
The Postal Service
Keane
Coldplay
Jack Johnson
Linkin Park
Maroon 5
The Goo Goo Dolls

I mostly listen to pop, punk rock, acoustic, and alternative. Anything but country (unless it's like country pop [Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, etc.])

I've heard from people that the movie doesn't do the musical justice. They changed some order of the songs (like Seasons of Love opening up the movie) and they removed a few and some were spoken. They also leave out a few details (like April's suicide). But anyways, if I thought the movie was good, I'll probably think the musical is superb.

A.J.,

I was actually proud of you that you took the hint, and calmed down on your posts. Also, that you seemed to be making an effort to watch what you were saying in the forum, and trying not to piss anyone off or annoy them.

<Sigh> Then, I read this: " Plus, she's a rare black lady that I love," and everything I had thought just went to Hell.

A.J., you're not a bad kid. I think that you are just too young to understand that a comment like this is immature, unecessary, and just plain stupid. Your comment is not a racist one (to me anyway, others may feel differently), but it reeks of ignorance. This is not an attack on you, A.J., you just have A LOT of learning and growing up to do. Saying that you are surprised you like someone because they are black, purple, yellow, orange, green, whatever is just...well...stupid.

You'll see what I mean one day, kiddo. :icon_yes:

Hmm... yeah I have to admit that I was stupid on that one. But I also have to say that I didn't know how to say it either at the time. What I mean is that there are few... let's say African-American (Hmm... this is better) ladies that I like but not very much and Alicia was part of them.
I'm not a racist at all and in no any mean, I wanted to mean so. Most of my friends are from African ethnic having origins from Ivory Coast, Senegal, Cameroon as you know there are lots of originally African people here in France.

And yeah, I do know I've still got lots of stuff to learn from life. I didn't meant anything with Trish or Maggie, but I think it came from the fact that I didn't understood what the "digging" thing meant (but I think I do now). As I don't know some familiar expressions you have in the U.S. But personnally, I've passed over on it.

I don't know about that. But if saying "black" make some people feel uneasy then I would just say "African-American" which I think doesn't have any negative connotations and is less familiar.

The point is not what you called a certain ethnic group, but the fact that you said "she's a rare black lady that I love" (I just noticed you edited your post from 'black' to 'African American') implying that because she is of a certain ethnicity, it's an ethnicity you do not favour. Do you understand how it comes across now?

Girl, don't get me started lol. Well, she just takes great care of herself, ya know? Actually, I was reading that she was voted "Best Body in the world" in a couple of different polls. She's only two years away from 50, and she looks better than she ever has...I'm sure she feels better than she ever has as well. :)

Her songs and albums are really cool. Sexy voice and cool instrumentals. That's one of my favorite songs because it was a popular hit around the time I was a baby. My dad recorded a videotape of me when I was playing in the living room and that song was on the radio.

I'm listening to Ashlee Simpson - Pieces of Me. Don't ask me why I'm listening to it though.

If your friend is expecting a repeat of Fallen, she is out of luck. The Open Door is definately different... AND I LOVE IT. I loved Fallen, but you can tell Amy Lee is strictly in charge this time. It really bugs me that they're being billed as "Amy Lee with Evanescence", but at least on the cd, it's still "Evanescence". And don't get me wrong, I adore Amy Lee and I think she's effin hot with those piercing eyes of hers :icon_drib . Ahem. Excuse the drool!

Some people have already condemned Evanescence after Ben Moody's departure. Don't! (Someone else left too I think) If your friend can listen to The Open Door without prejudice... without comparing it to Fallen, I think she'll enjoy it.
