Hey Francesco... well I had to tell you that when I started my music devotion one of the bands that I listen was BonJovi... I think their works from the 80s and some 90s are really powerfull and deep... but this last years is kind of what people think about Metallica when they cut the hair and change their melodies, you know, I think BonJovi dedicates too much to get in the taste of the young girls and I really dont feel the same about their music, I respect them but I believe to me they had two eras and I like most the begining of the band. I will try to get some of this Edguy and Treat that you comment and I will tell you my opinion, Europe... mmmm I only know the song 'The final countdown'... thats the only hit we get here from them. And about the Backstreet boys... man to be honest... I dont respect them from the begining because those boybands are a merchandise items... I dont hate them or anything about that... is just that I dont feel their vibe, now I respect those guys because they were kick out from the record company and actually they dont have the support they had from the begining speaking about the management and the business stuff but they still on by their own just for the fans,,, one of my sisters is a trully fan of them and from what I over heard when she play their music I had to say that I dont dislike '10,000 promises' that song is good to be with a girl in a romantic mood.

About melodic bands... I think Journey is one of this genre and I like the song "When you love a woman" and I heard some stuff of Meatloaf too.

I'm italian, I'm agree with You about that Backstreet boys's songs that are so good to be with a girl in a romantic wood, but I consider the actual Backstreet Boys no more a boyband because in their new cd there are many songs of a very good taste. About Europe and Bon Jovi I talked about 80s because these two bands at the actual time, unfortunately, are no more the same (musically), bands about 80s and I'm absolutely agree with You in all that You wrote about Metallica also, I'm glad about your honesty and believe me Sam, I really appreciate that.

There's one display where it's lke a rainforest, and you can walk thru it, and the animals in there are all free and running (and flying) around. I lost my oldiest dog five years ago... she died at 15 years... she walk with me my first day on the kinder garden when I was five years old and she died when I was twenty so she is a big part of me and as something weird when she died she wait for me when I get back from work... when I get in my home I saw her laying on the floor moaning and I set aside her and start to rub her with my hand over her and I remember I said ... "You know what?... thank you for everything you made for me and everything you give me... They're an Australian band and i'm not sure if they're known in any other countries. The band is TISM (This Is Serious Mum) and they do some real controversial songs over here. Some of their tunes are quite funny, and some are rude. If you can keep up with the lyrics, they're fast. They got a few songs i like. One is called "I'm on the drug that killed River Phoenix" (that's a fast one) and another is called "Greg, the stop sign." That one's based on a true story about a guy named Greg who ran a stop sign in his car and got cleaned up by a semi trailer. The guys in the group ALWAYS wear balaclavas to hide their identities, like how Slipknot wear masks.

sounds interesting... specially with the speed you mentioned and the balaclavas they wear... talking about masks I love slipknot and mushroomhead, both bands hide behind masks so I will try to check some of this guys TISM. One of the wishes I have personally is making a band and wear some masks from here in my country that have some mistical meanings,,, they have a ritual dancing and is full of characters; there is monkeys, tigers, deers, devils and other and the clothes are very special... so my wish is to move that or apply it to rock music.

I've met and talked with Bill Gates several times at technology industry events.

I met Conan and Andy Richter while they taping a bit for his show at one of the paintball fields I play at. I ended up "playing" paintball with them. I shot Andy in the head (sorry Andy the ball floated) and Conan O'Brian in the ass. Andy’s a nice guy Conan came off as bit of Prima Donna as far as I’m concerned.

I played paintball Harrison Ford and his son a couple of years ago... Nice guy BTW.

We met Dana Delany at a charity event 2 or 3 years ago. We chatted for maybe 10 or 15 and then had our picture taken with her. She's terrific... Very down to earth, soft spoken and sexy as hell.

I met Phil Mickelson at a golf tournament. He a nice guy... Thanks for the short game tips Phil!

When I was with the band our dream, naturally, was the success, but I assure You that everytime we played together our biggest desire was pure pleasure for us and for our friends because music for us was something natural to gift to all our friends that liked and loved our songs and I will never forget when drummer's girlfriend told me that she cried for ballad I wrote, this is my most beautiful memory about musical past, I hold these words in my heart again and here will remain forever.
You have a work and I think this is a great thing, I know everyone of us have dreams inside, but if these can't become reality we must go on the same with a big smile and make about everyday our little raimbow.
Maybe I told You something You already know or something banal, but I assure You this is absolutely the truth.

For the most part I’m fine… I’m really missing Maggie though. She’s in Chicago on business and won't be home until the 15th so I'll be spending Valentines Day alone. :icon_frow

Here a quick picture of what I woke up to this morning... About a foot of drifting snow. Right now the temperature is hovering around 21f (-6c) with the wild chill it feels more like 5f (-15c).

We’re expecting 18-24 inches of snow by the time this storm moves out of the area later tonight.

Update: The marker in the foreground of the second picture is roughly 2 feet tall… It’s about 6 inches away from being buried… It’s not supposed to stop snowing until 5 or 6 this evening! :icon_yike

Update 2: 10:35 a.m. A couple of more pictures... The snow has let up a bit, I can see my nieghbors houses now, but the wind has picked up and the snow is drifting in "sheets"... And the power just went out... I hope the generator works or it's going to be a long day... :icon_chai

Here's a couple more photo's of my neighborhood... That big mound of snow in the second picture is my neighbor’s VW. In addition to having to dig her car out of that mound she's looking at $100 fine for parking in a snow removal zone. :icon_no:

Oh and one very important safety tip… Don’t use a snow thrower to find you Sunday paper… Holy bits of confetti batman! :icon_yike

Almost forgot... There's a 18-20 inches of snow on the ground now.
